Privacy Policy
Dunk Labs (“Dunk Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by JM Social Media LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what the Dunk Labs iOS application and this website collect, how that information is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Questions go to support@dunklabs.app.
1. Video and camera access
Video is the core of Dunk Labs. With your permission, the app accesses your camera to record a jump attempt, or your photo library so you can upload an existing clip. Clips you submit are processed to generate your analysis: we extract key frames from the jump and send those frames to an AI vision provider to produce an estimated vertical, a form score, and a phase-by-phase breakdown.
- Your clips and frames are used only to generate and store your own analysis and history.
- We do not sell your clips, and we do not share them with advertisers or use them for marketing without your separate, explicit permission.
- You can delete an analysis, and its associated clip and frames, from within the app at any time.
2. Health and fitness information
To compute your target vertical and program, Dunk Labs collects information you enter yourself, including bodyweight, height, standing reach, age, your selected dunk goal, estimated and measured vertical values, training logs and completed sessions, mobility routine history, and nutrition and macro targets. This information is used to personalize your program, chart your progress, and give the AI Coach the context it needs to answer your questions.
3. Account and contact information
If you create an account, we collect your email address and basic account identifiers so your history follows you across devices. If you contact support or submit a form on this website, we receive the name, email, and message you send.
4. Device and usage analytics
We collect standard diagnostic and usage data — device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and aggregate feature-usage events — to fix bugs and improve the app. This data is not used to build advertising profiles.
5. AI processing
Two features involve AI processing: film analysis (key frames from your clip and your measurements are sent to a vision model) and the AI Coach (your questions, your film breakdown summary, and your measurements are sent to a language model so answers reference your real numbers). We contract with providers that are obligated to process this data solely to return results to Dunk Labs, and not to train general-purpose models on it.
6. Third-party services
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — processes all purchases and subscriptions. We never receive or store your payment card details.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status and entitlements.
- AI model providers — perform film analysis and power the AI Coach, as described above.
- Analytics and crash-reporting providers — receive diagnostic and usage data.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your analyses, measurements, and training history for as long as your account is active so your trend chart stays intact. You can delete individual items in the app, or request deletion of your entire account and all associated data by emailing support@dunklabs.app. Verified deletion requests are honored within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain limited transaction records.
8. Children’s privacy
Dunk Labs is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app is built for athletes aged 14 and up. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review this policy and the app with you before you begin training. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
9. Your rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request to know what personal information we collect, request a copy, request correction, and request deletion. You may also opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — although we do not sell or share it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Submit requests to support@dunklabs.app.
10. Your rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal bases are: performance of a contract (delivering the app features you request), your consent (camera and photo library access, and processing of health-related information you provide), and our legitimate interests (security, diagnostics, and product improvement). You may withdraw consent at any time and may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our infrastructure providers. Access to production systems is limited to personnel who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change. Continuing to use Dunk Labs after an update means you accept the revised policy.
